Hi guys hope you are well and staying safe. We want to just update you on the new developments regarding SCUBA diving and COVID-19 and how Divecor are moving forward.
We are currently in a phased return to diving and we are working within the current Government Guidelines found at https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/coronavirus-covid-19-list-of-guidance. To ensure safety specific to Scuba Diving we are also following the recommendations from the British Diving Safety Group (BDSG), Divers Alert Network (DAN), PADI, Diveheart, BSAC and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
All our training is in line with the afore mentioned guide lines and recommendations. We will implement all reasonable precautions and steps to reduce the potential risk of Covid-19. This is an inclusive process where we introduce a pack for everyone including new and existing customers/divers out lining our policies and procedures in line with safety and hygiene to review prior to diving.
Divecor’s phased return is:
Phase 1
Updating Risk Assessments to include updated safety and hygiene guidelines
Staff Training to update safety and hygiene guidelines
Phase 2:
Return to Openwater Training.
Phase 3
Return to pool/confined water training
These processes, guide lines and implementation of Phases and what they entail will be regularly reviewed and amended as appropriate in line with the guidelines mentioned throughout this document.
